columbus was thursday night. Only about 45 people showed up since it was a 10pm show on a thursday night. She played 14 songs which is sort of short but it was super nice as it was dead quiet and I could relax, kick back and enjoy the show.

Indy was super crowded and people talked, not too bad, but enough. She played 17 songs, played a super awesome version of promise of gold.

Milwaukee was by far the best. Seated show, she played 20 song without drive and wtml....

hey folks,

just in case anyone hasn't seen it, there is a new interview up on youtube from the Ottawa bluesfest this past weekend... Melissa talks a bit about the new album-- she doesn't say the exact date it is coming out (only September) but she did say that there are 12 tracks (including one cover song), and that she recorded all the songs in one take. sounds so fabulous-- i can't wait for it to come out!

If anyone happened to record tonight's show or knows someone who did, I would do almost anything to get a copy. She was FANTASTIC tonight. I have seen her well over 20 times, and this was definitely in the top five. I can't write more now because I have to get up for work at 5, but I hope others enjoyed the show as much as I did! Her new songs are great, and she seems really happy!
